Regional Election Observation for East and the Horn of Africa is a professional learning course designed to equip observers, civil society actors, democracy practitioners, researchers, media teams, trainers, and civic leaders with the knowledge, skills, and practical tools needed to conduct credible, impartial, and evidence-based election observation. The course explores the foundations of election observation, democracy and governance, legal and normative frameworks, the electoral cycle, thematic observation, observation methodologies, ethics and safety, and reporting and analysis. Rooted in the realities of East and the Horn of Africa, it supports the development of a strong regional community of practice committed to electoral integrity, democratic accountability, and peaceful democratic participation.
